Woodland Veterinary Hospital, offers our trainer, Jean Gauchat-Hargis full time to offer assistance with any behavior problems you may have with your dog. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
All classes are taught using positive reinforcement techniques, making it an enjoyable experience for both you and your pet. This method of training strengthens the relationship of dog and handler based on trust and mutual respect rather than fear. This positive method of canine problem solving and obedience is Jean's specialty. The goal is to develop your ability to communicate with your dog in a manner that does not violate his dignity. She has trained over 6,000 dogs in her twelve years of experience. She teaches her classes with patience and love. You will learn how to laugh at the mistakes... his and yours!
Training is a fun, positive and rewarding experience. Whether you are looking for a well-behaved companion or an event competitor, Jean's method of positive reinforcement will help you achieve your goals.
We offer a variety of classes in obedience, clicker, agility and conformation. For those who would like private lessons we also offer in home training. You also have the option of your dog training while boarding! Jean is here to assist you in a long term relationship between you and your dog!
