Woodland Veterinary Hospital offers a variety of kitten packages that include doctor exams, vaccines, deworming, and fecal parasite analysis, to name a few. Whether your kitten is going to be indoor-only or will spend time outdoors, we offer the right package to get your kitten's life started out on the right paw. LIke in children, a lot happens in the first few months of a kitten's developement. That is why it is recommended to have your kitten evaluated by a veterinarian every few weels during this important stage. Early detection of birth defects or abnormal growth patterns may help provide your kitten a better chance at recovery. Routine fecal screens and deworming can help keep your kitten free from parasites that could also be passed to your family members. Vaccination is a highly effective way to prevent potentially serious problems later in life. All kittens receive rabies and FVRCP ("feline distemper") vaccine, and kittens that will go outdoors will also get a Feline Leukemia vaccine. All kittens will also receive a Feline Leaukemia tewst to make sure they weren't exposed to this virus in the early stages of their life. Regular appointments are also an excellent opportunity to get the answers to any questions you might have about behavior, feeding, and any other concerns you may have about your kitten. Having a kitten in the household is definitely rewarding, and we want to help your kitten adjust to its new home as easily as possible.
