Vet Science for Kids and VSI for Teens
|

During the summer and during school breaks Woodland Veterinary Hospital opens it's doors to youth for some FREE classes right here! What better way for budding veterinarians or animal health care providers to get a taste of what could be in store for them!
Our Vet Science For Kids class is open to students ages 10 through 12. The VSI (Veterinary Science Investigation) for TEENS class is for students ages 13 and older. These classes lay a foundation of basic knowledge and build upon that with each successive meeting. Students get hands-on experience, doing such things as cleaning pet's ears and brushing their teeth, training a dog, using the microscope and making slides. They also get to observe wellness exams, spays and neuters and other surgeries, dental cleaning, ultrasound procedures, x-rays, grooming and many activities that occur here in the daily function of the hospital.
