Puppy Wellness Package

Woodland Veterinary Hospital offers two puppy packages, one that starts around 8 weeks old, and one that starts around 12 weeks old depending on when you got your puppy. The packages include doctor exams, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal parasite analysis. At each visit the heartworm preventative medication appropriate for the puppies weight as it grows is also given. Regular office visits during your puppies first few months are a great way to be sure their health issues are addressed and any questions you have about adjusting to life with a new puppy are answered. Puppies, like children, go through remarkable changes in the first few months of their life. This is why it is important to have a doctor examine them every few weeks during this developmental stage. Early detection of birth defects or abnormal growth patterns can allow for an appropriate treatment plan as your pet continues to develop. Routine fecal parasite screening helps keep your puppy free of diseases and helps protect your family from parasite exposure. Puppies are routinely dewormed during puppy visits, but any additional treatments needed for intestinal parasites found on fecal screening are included in the cost of the puppy packages. Vaccinations given during the puppy packages help to protect your pet from infectious diseases such as Parvo and Distemper. These diseases can be life threatening and it is important that your pet develops immunity to these diseases through a proper series of vaccinations to aviod serious disease. By purchasing a puppy package, you will save over 20% off the price of each of the services if they were purchased individually. With the purchase of the package you will also receive a discount on the microchip identification chip, the bordetella vaccine, and the spay or neuter surgery.
