Graduated from UC Davis in 2004 with a degree in veterinary medicine with an interest in both small animal and equine medicine. After completing an intership in equine medicine, I worked for a mixed animal practice for 2 years then joined the staff at Woodland Veterinary Hospital in 2007. My professional interest primarily are in small animal emergency and critical care and also have a special interest in equine reproduction and neonatology. Mixing both aspects of my profession, both large and small animal interest, has been very rewarding and yet, challenging. Prior to vet school, I also completed a masters degree in animal science. I plan on continuing my education to widen my knowledge base and also to serve as a role model to others striving to enter the field of veterinary medicine.
Working with such a great staff at Woodland Veterinary Hospital has many benefits, as I believe WVH is a progressive practice with excellent staff that serves our clients and patients with the best of care and service. We, as a team of professionals at Woodland Veterinary Hospital, strive for excellence to provide the best experience for you and your pet each and every visit. I look forward to meeting new faces and pets each day. The joy that animals bring to our lives is evident in the everyday interactions that we have with the animals that come into our lives.
In addition to work, I also enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, three dogs, three cats and horse. I enjoy horseback riding and taking time to go on vacation. My husband is currently going to veterinary school at UC Davis and my daughter is already learning as much as she can about being a veterinarian. She says she really wants to help animals "get better" like her mommy does :)
